|---|---|---|---|---|

Team Camphor Laurel | 3 | 1 | 0 | 12 |

The rain appears to have finally left us alone, and weeks 7 and 8 saw two uninterrupted matches - hurrah! With winter illness now taking its toll, week 7 saw Team Morning Glory and Team Madeira Vine with the points. Week 8 produced a yet another win for Team Madeira Vine with Morning Glory and Lantana sharing their points in the first draw of the season.
And what an interesting place this leaves our leaderboard in! Congestion at the top with teams Madeira Vine and Camphor Laurel locked on 12 points and Team Morning Glory only two points off the pace. With finals still two regular matches away, the top two places are too close to call!
Looking ahead to Week 9, we'll see Team Morning Glory against Team Camphor Laurel on Court 1 in a clash with big finals implications, while Team Tropical Soda Apple fight for a chance at fourth place with Team Lantana on Court 2. We are coming to the pointy end of competition now: Who will spread unchecked, and who will find themselves in the green waste bin of history?
For every match a team wins, they are awarded four points. A draw yields two points for both sides, while a team is awarded zero points for a loss.
