At last, in Week 4 of the competition the rain allowed us to complete a round of tennis. This is sadly a new record for delayed starts, but what our players lost in time, fitness and coordination, they made up for with enthusiasm in Week 4!
On court 1 it was Team Northern Brown Bandicoot clinching an exciting last-match victory over Team Red-Necked Wallaby. Meanwhile, on court 2 Team Common Brushtail Possum proved themselves a real threat this term with all-around dominant performance against Team Sugar Glider.
And that, we hope, is the end of Wednesday rain-outs for this term! Coming up in Week 5, Team Northern Brown Bandicoot will take on Team Sugar Glider on court 1, while Team Red-Necked Wallaby will challenge Team Short-beaked Echidna in a battle of the hyphenated team names. Team Common Brushtail Possum will rest on their laurels as they take the bye in week 5...
For every match a team wins, they are awarded four points. A draw yields two points for both sides, while a team is awarded zero points for a loss.

Term 4 2026 Wednesday night competition registrations are now closed - thanks to all our entrants, and if you missed out then keep checking back in January to join our first comp of 2027!
Term 4 competition will take place over ten weeks, starting at 6pm from Wed 14 October to Wed 16 December.
Wednesday night competition is a friendly social comp, and we welcome all levels of ability and fitness.
You don't need to form your own team - entries will be placed in teams with a mix of skill levels.
A maximum of five teams play each term. Four teams will play each week, with the bye teams providing reserves if available.
To join a comp, you'll need to be a 2026 club member, complete the registration form below, and pay the competition fee of $40. If you're not yet a 2026 member, read our membership page for details - memberships for the remainder of 2026 are now half price!
The $40 competition fee can be paid at the courts before play in week one of the competition, by cash or card.
